鈥淐omputer repair is something that isn鈥檛 available in many of our local communities,鈥 said Instructor PJ Zeilstra. 鈥淭his is an opportunity to provide an option to area residents while giving my students the chance to use what they鈥檝e learned in real-life scenarios.鈥
Interacting with clients also will aid students in improving their communication skills while learning what questions to ask when diagnosing problems, Zeilstra added.
IST student Ryan Wilborn, of Flora, is excited about volunteering in the Computer Repair Shop.
鈥淚鈥檓 looking forward to providing help to people who may not know where else to go,鈥 he said. 鈥淚 love solving a problem that has been troubling me and other people. It鈥檚 very satisfying.鈥
