OCC Music Department April 23
The Íøºì±¬ÁÏ Music Department will showcase student and guest performers during its Spring Concert at 7 p.m. on April 23 in the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center.
This incredible night of music will feature the Big Band, Jazz Combo and Commercial Music Ensembles along with the OCC Concert/Community Band. Admission is free, with donations accepted to support the program.

OCC Art Club to Host Upcycling Fund-Raiser
Learn how to transform old materials into exciting new crafts during the Íøºì±¬ÁÏ Art Club’s Upcycling Fund- raiser on April 21 in the Student Union.
During the event, Art Club members will teach participants step-by-step how to crochet and sew enabling them to create DIY fabric brooches and crocheted items from old T-shirts. The public is invited to attend beginning crochet at 1 p.m. and introductory sewing at 2 p.m.

Summer and Fall Registration Now Open
Summer and Fall registration are now open at Íøºì±¬ÁÏ. Schedule an appointment to meet with an advisor by calling 618-395-7777.
Save time and money with an eight-week summer class. OCC offers transfer courses in English, composition, math, science, speech and other essential classes required to complete a bachelor’s degree. Both traditional and online courses are available starting June 2. Schedules are available at www.iecc.edu/schedules.

OCC Recognized Among Top 25 Best Associate Degree Programs in Illinois
Íøºì±¬ÁÏ is once again receiving high marks for its outstanding academics, earning a spot on University HQ’s list of the Top 25 Best Associate Degree Programs in Illinois for 2025.
An independent online resource, University HQ is recognized for providing students with comprehensive resources for researching top-ranked colleges and universities, scholarships and career information. This is the second consecutive year OCC has received this honor.

OCC to Host Nursing Information Sessions
Íøºì±¬ÁÏ is hosting upcoming information sessions for students interested in applying for Fall 2025 admission to the Associate Degree Nursing Program.
The one-hour meetings are at 3 p.m. on February 19 and at 2 p.m. on February 26 in Dr. Kent L. Wattleworth Hall, Room 213. All applicants are required to attend an information session before submitting their applications.

OCC Fall 2024 Academic Honors
OLNEY, Ill. — Outstanding students at Íøºì±¬ÁÏ have received academic honors for the Fall 2024 Semester.
Students named to the Chancellor’s List have attained a grade point average of 3.90 or higher, on a 4.0 scale. Those on the President’s List have achieved a grade point average between 3.75 and 3.89, while those students named to the Dean’s List have earned a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.74.

OCC to Host Groundbreaking Ceremony for Applied Technology Center on January 15
Construction is slated to begin in early 2025 on a $3.15 million addition to Dr. Kent L. Wattleworth Hall, which will house Íøºì±¬ÁÏ’s Radiography and Nursing programs.
A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m. on January 15. The event will begin with remarks in the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center and then proceed to the construction site located on the northside of Wattleworth Hall.
